Four steps to zero-clutter boards.
Add the view
Open any board, click + Add view, and pick Dynamic Column View from the Apps section.
Welcome screen
On first launch you'll see a short welcome. Click Get Started to jump straight in.
Configuration tab
Switch to the Configuration tab and pick which columns appear in each group.
Enjoy the view
Return to Column View — each group now shows only its relevant columns.
Map columns to the groups that need them.
Toggle visibility
Inside the Configuration tab, expand any group. Every column on the board is listed with a switch — flip the switch to show or hide that column for that specific group. Nothing is deleted; it's a pure display layer.
Quick actions per group
- Show All — reveals every column in a group, useful as a reset.
- Hide All — clears a group so you can add back only what matters.
- Copy from… — reuses another group's setup in one click (great for duplicated phases).
Reorder columns Pro
Grab the drag handle beside any column to change its order inside a group — independent of the board's global column order.
The view, once it's yours.
Search across the board
The search box at the top filters items across all visible groups at once. Hit / or Ctrl+K from anywhere to focus it.
Expand & collapse
Click a group header to fold or unfold it. Use the toolbar buttons or E and C to expand/collapse everything at once.
Inline editing Pro
Click any editable cell — text, number, status, date, person, link, email — and edit directly. Changes save to monday.com through the standard API, so automations, integrations, and audit logs all fire normally.
Open the full item
Click an item's name to open its item card in monday.com. Handy when you need attachments, updates, or the activity log.

The questions we actually get.
Does this modify my board data?
No. Dynamic Column View is a pure presentation layer. The app never adds, removes, or renames columns on your board — it only decides which ones are rendered. Uninstall it and the board looks exactly as before.
Can different users have different configurations?
Yes, on the Team plan. User-level configurations live alongside the board default; admins can also publish a "shared config" that everyone inherits until they customize their own.
Does it work on mobile?
Not yet. The Board View is desktop-only in this release — the grid relies on wide horizontal layouts and keyboard-driven editing that don't translate well to a phone. Mobile support is on the roadmap as a separate update.
What happens to my config if I uninstall?
All stored data keyed by the app's clientId is wiped within 10 days of uninstall. You can also trigger an immediate wipe from the Configuration tab → "Delete my data".
Which languages are supported?
English, French, Spanish, German, and Arabic (with full RTL). The UI follows your monday.com language by default, and you can override it from the language switcher in the top-right.
Does it work with automations and integrations?
Yes. The app only reads/writes through monday's GraphQL API, so every automation, integration, and dashboard continues to work exactly as if you edited the cells natively.
Still stuck? We're fast.
Two-business-day SLA on any inquiry — usually much faster. Send us anything: feature requests, bug reports, or just to say the board finally looks clean.
